There is a website called The B School. It is a place for photographers of all races, ages and eye colors to gather, connect and geek out over things like pixel count and lens apertures. It is through this website that we met an incredible little photographer named Jordana Hazel. Jordana is a wedding photographer, has a great smile, incredible taste in home decorating and pizza.

In Los Angeles there is a church called The Oasis. It is a place for Christians of all races, ages, and hair colors to gather, connect and do all things Club Jesus. If you live in LA you have to check it out. It’s the best church I’ve EVER attended. It is through serving in the children’s nursery of this church that we met a couple named Steven and Charissa. Steven is a dad who likes to work out and edit while Charissa is a mom who likes to work out, inflict fashion envy and take care of baby Geneva.

The Oasis has something called Connect Groups, which are basically little clubs you sign up for and meet with like-minded people once a week and talk about different assigned topics. Jade and I signed up for one and this is how we got to be friends with Steven and Charissa.

Through pure happenstance, Charissa tells us she’s got a friend who’s a photographer. She asks if we’ve ever heard of her. She says her name is Jordana Hazel. We say, “weird”. Sometimes LA is a strangely small place.

Anywho, enough background story.
